Cat Eye Problem
Ok, I have a cat named brandished it is almost a year and recently had a problem with his third eyelid. I guess it’s a tear duct that helps to keep his eyes watered. . . something like that. The third eyelid recently begun to cover nearly one third of the eye. Hi seems fine and is still healthy as a kitten. But I am worried it may be a sign of Horner syndrome type feline. It has only 1 in 5 which is a good sign. The eye is not sunk in, the student is still normal size, and there are no signs of nerve damage. I do not know what could help the third eyelid lift and cover his eyes like that. It is a big cat and I would not have anything happen to him. Any help would be great. Thank you.

I do not know but I feel your pain. a large piece of the ball is out of the eyes of my cat. it oozes and stuff and his eyes will probably be removed.
It could just have something stuck in there. While it is not getting worse I would leave it for a week. If after this time, it will not disappear by itself it may be time to take him to the vet or at least call and see what they say about the situation.
Thats happened to many of my cats before, and I had many, many cats. In the case of my cats, he almost always went by himself. You could call a local veterinarian and ask him on the phone about it. If you’re really concerned about it, you simply need to take Brandi to the vet. I’m sure it will get better. Good luck to you and your cat! The cats are great!
Horners syndrome is extremely rare in cats, and no other symptoms that I wouldnt be worried. The third eyelid cats help tear production, but it was your cat checked by a veterinarian? If she has problems with tear production, it could have “dry eye” where it would need drops or ointment, or all day to keep her comfortable. Usually, when the third eyelid becomes pronounced in cats, is associated with the disease. Fever, poor “players” tend to be pronounced during the third eyelid of their disease. . However, it isn’t constant. If this is anything new to your cat, and the lid has been pronounced Id have checked by a veterinarian.
