It's really good. My pets never had fleas while they were on it. I had to stop using it because one of my pets developed a little bald patch because he was sensitive to it, but that was after years of use. The product used to come with a couple of free flea wipes to instantly kill the adults on the cat as well, and it worked very well - I used it on a lot of my foster cats. They make other products such as a spray and powder for bedding and the house. I'd use that, it was very inexpensive and you can get it at places like PetSmart online.
