Dog Eye Problem Swelling/Inflamation In the Corner of the Eye?
Need Dog experts help!
Today I find something very scary in my 10 month old puppy eye. On his right eye, in the very corner of it, it seems as if he has swelling/inflation. The corner flesh which every one has visible when fully turning their eye looks huge & red or pink. It’s not bleeding, but looks swell.
He does not look like to be in pain or anything.
Is this a common dogs problem?

they’re called cherry eyes. my cousins dog had them, but they went away after a while. call the vet just to make sure, but im pretty sure that’s what it is.
It is cherry eye.They can fix it when they neuter him. That way he is only under anesthesia once
Please take him to the vet today. You don’t want to take a chance with your dog’s eyes.
take him to the vet the doc will most likely give you a creme ointment of anitbiotics, my dogs had this and it has just been pollen or alergies in thier eye, could be escalated pink eye, and a possiblity that he may have scratched it,
It looks like cherry eye. It’s something a vet can fix with surgery usually. (I have a bulldog with a cherry eye that’s been through surgery twice now but it won’t stay fixed- it happens sometimes unfortunately). Call your vet to have it checked out sometime and see what his recommendations are as far as surgery, etc.
just saw this question tonight for the first time, and i asked myself WHY would someone "if genuinely worried" about their pet" waste time taking pic of there puppy’s eye to post in here asking advice from unqualified ppl instead of just taking it straight to the vet?

Going to a vet would be an obvious answer, however, some people can’t afford it.. I really don’t want to look at the picture, but I’m hoping it’s just pink eye. If there’s swelling, buldging, and the whole watery-eye, with puss type thing going on, there’s a good chance it’s just pink eye, which is a common thing animals pick up.
If this is the case all you need is some Lipton tea bags (or any other black tea) and hot water. Just act like you’re making a regular cup of tea (heat cup of water for 1-2min) then put a bag of tea in there and let sit for 5 minutes.. after 5minutes drain as much tea out as possible. Now wait until tea bag is just barely warm and place it on top of the dogs eye and hold it there firmly for 5 minutes.. you may have to do this every 2 hours depending on how bad it is. OR you can take some drops of the tea (after it has cooled down) and put them in the dogs eye. The infection should clear up within a day to a week. Good luck
I’m concerned that the Pit bull desires a special type of operator…these pet dogs, no matter how ‘trusting’ nevertheless have teeth, are nevertheless creatures with out moral ideas and when they DO bite, won’t let go. As in all animals…some have a tendency to be additional suseptable to instinctual behavior and time and time again, this breed tends to perform just that.
