Mix 1 TBSP of ACV in her dry food in the morning and give her the 1 TBSP of ACV mixed with 2 TBSP of yogurt at night. It will work great. You can even check with your vet on this.

edit: I believe Crystals method would be a perfect daily dose to prevent the problem from re-occuring, preventitive medicine if you will, but I feel perhaps you need to go stronger to get rid of it in the beginning, for at least 3 days, you should notice a difference in about 24 hours.

I have never heard that apple cider vinegar was good for the urinary tract. Though if you give it regularly ticks will not get on your dog. Maybe you are thinking of cranberry pills? I would discuss with the vet about using alternatives though.

I have never heard of Methio-Form, but have heard plenty recommend ACV (and cranberry pills) for urinary tract infections, among other things. It works by changing the ph of the environment to be inhospitable to bacteria. I have never heard of using the pills, just adding the ACV to the food or drinking water. Bragg's is the most recommended brand and is much better than most of the others.

The approximate amounts recommended :
1 teaspoon - dogs up to 14 pounds
2 teaspoon - medium dogs -15 to 34 pounds
1Tablespoon - large dogs-35 to 84 pounds

You may have to work up to the recommended dose for the dog to get use to the taste, as it is pretty strong. My birds all get it in their drinking water also.
