How Can You Tell If Your Dog Has Ear Mites?

How do you know your dog has ear mites? And is it possible that only one dog have ear mites when I have more dogs in the house? I have 4 dogs and one of them crispy stuff in one of his ears, someone told me that he might possibly have ear mite.

    Ear mites are more common in cats, but not impossible for dogs to get. You can tell if your vet tells you and gives him ear drops. =]

    Most likely an ear infection. Go to a pet store and make anestetic for cleaning.

    It could also be an ear infection (otitis externa). If you go to the vet, they can do a microscopic examination to ensure that your dog and you get the right medication to treat it. Either can be painful for your dog and must be addressed.

    Yes one could have them, but high risk of spread to other animals. It is unlikely ear mites, because they are common for cats – uncommon for dogs. It is likely that your dog has some type of ear infection. Anyway you need a vet visit for an accurate diagnosis and treatment. Now take a while infection is easier and cheaper to process than trying to self-diagnose and causing pain to your dog and injuries and higher veterinary bill for you.
