We found a stray dog which is really not enough loved in the past and seems to be quite low in his weight. When we start feed him his legs began to tremble and he finally sat down like he didn’t have the energy to stand. We cant take him to the vet for another eight days. What can we do to help a dog gain some weight until then? If it can help with answers, he is a lab pit mix, about 40 lbs.

Wow My dog is a Lab / Pitt mix too, same situation. She weighed 42 pounds when we got it and boy is it made for her. We have given a cup in the morning and a cup of night. Sometimes when they are hungry, they eat more, which may be a medical problem, because they can not digest all this food at once. My dog has a belly, in winter, but it works outside in summer.
