Sooo, I say all that to say, after the first treatment cured it and it came back, we used Goodwinol Ointment the 2nd go around. Worked wonders! We only applied it to the one bald spot and it's gone. So now, that's the only method we use when his mites become active! Hope this helps! If you can not afford to treat this look at placing the dog with a rescue or someone who can provide care for it. It comes in a bottle that requires a syringe, but at the advice of the breeder that I purchased the dog from, I purchased a syringe at Farm and Fleet. I only use the syringe to get the medicine out of the bottle and then I squirted it into her mouth. He also recommended that I put iodine on the infected areas one time per day.
