We found a stray dog which is really not enough loved in the past and seems to be quite low in his weight. When we start feed him his legs began to tremble and he finally sat down like he didn’t have the energy to stand. We cant take him to the vet for another eight days. What can we do to help a dog gain some weight until then? If it can help with answers, he is a lab pit mix, about 40 lbs.

My dog / beagle mix had worms, which took a lot of weight on it. I can not make my dog gain weight and the vet bills to take him to be dewormed has already cost me a bundle of money. Does anyone have suggestions on how to reduce it to a healthy weight quickly? Sidenote: it is about six months and is a small dog stature.

I love so much my dog, and I do not know how to help her. She has been over weight for quite some time now, and I take a walk her a lot and only feed her the amount of dog food the vet told me I should feed her, but whenever she starts looking better she either gets into the garbage can, or eats very much of human food. I have a maltese that is almost one year old and yesterday I weighed myself then weighed my maltese and there was just a 7.5 difference.

Is it bad that my maltese isnt even a year and possibly already the average weight? i dont know if the scale messed up because it never seems right all the time but the past few weeks there has been about a 6-8 pound difference.
