How do you know your dog has ear mites? And is it possible that only one dog have ear mites when I have more dogs in the house? I have 4 dogs and one of them crispy stuff in one of his ears, someone told me that he might possibly have ear mite.

My Dogs anal glands “express” themselves and its wicked! The smell is aweful! The veterinarian explainded that this is normal. .  But what is the purpose of anal glands in dogs? Gross I know LOL

I think all of brushing my dogs teeth, but I think they will be nervous. What is the best way to clean your dogs teeth? What do you do to remove that tarter buildup and prevent tooth disease? Should you brush your dogs teeth, or take him to the vet for dog dental care?

My wife has a Maltese who does not listen very well and is very spoiled. Shes does things like put her nose in the garbage when we turn our backs and (“do” use the bathroom) at home once in a while and my wife let her get away with it. We are now getting a Boxer dog and the dog will be very well be my trane as the Maltese is it. I would like to trane more stringent than the Maltese is traned but I am afraid that the Maltese bad habits to pass him. . What should I do?

I must take my dog to the vet once a month for expressing his anal glands internally. Everywhere I look on the web, it tells me that you can learn to do at home, but he never says how. My dog has an appointment to get his teeth cleaned, it is a small yorkie and I am worried about him go under anesthesia. I research and I’m worried. Has anyone ever had their dogs teeth cleaned in a veterinary office where the dog went under anesthesia?

My dog is 3 years old. There was a problem of itching when he was 1 years old and started with Vanectyl-P (2 mg of prednisone was mixed with 5 mg of an antihistamine). For 2 years I have done everything possible to try to leave the Vanectyl-P. All types of homeopathic treatments and diets that he actually was not taking any Vanectyl-P! The only problem, which was basically a vegetarian and can not live like this for a long period of time (enough protein and other nutrients important, obviously. We note that the essence is allergic to any animal protein).

It was 2 years, and now I believe it has Addison’s disease, and now definitely needs some kind of steroid (addisionian We think there was a crisis – was hospitalized – this is where the adrenal glands stop producing steroids – he p vanectyl was out for about a week now.)

Anyway, my question is, does anyone out there has some experience of giving your dog a low dose of prednisone for life? How long before you start seeing the effects of prednisone take care of your body? A few years ago? 2 years ago and is quite normal. Only major side effects are more frequent urination and a little more aggressive. His scratching is under control, with only 1 tablet per day. He is 50 pounds (20 kilograms or less) to receive 2 mg prednisone daily. What can I expect to be much prednisone for life? Anyone out there with experience? a long term experience?

In turn yellow dog’s teeth, even if you got your teeth cleaned recently?

My dog, Mastiff and German Shepherd mix, has a very unhealthy flea and tick problem. I’ve tried the flea collar, however it won’t stay on and this previous thursday I put the flea and tick gel on him and I simply seemed as we speak and I can spot little bugs moving on his fur.

He’s an outside dog as a result of everyone (together with me) is allergic to pet dander.

What i supposed to do?
He stays in the yard and sleeps in the storage. I got him to protect the backyard towards cats and squirrels that dig in our rubbish.
